Why pit bulls?

Because our best friends are dogs that are labeled "pit bulls."

And dogs like them are in trouble. They are battling media-driven bad reputations, irresponsible owners, backyard breeding, discriminatory housing laws, insurance exclusions, dogfighting and legislation designed to outlaw their existence.

This has created a sad reality in which one in every six hundred homeless pit bulls will find their forever home, and nationwide, 75% of shelters euthanize all pit bulls, regardless of their temperment, age, history, physical state or demeanor.

Their only flaw, is that they were labeled a "pit bull" or "pit bull mix."

All of this adds up to one simple truth. Together we need to fight the stereotypes help these deserving dogs to once again be seen as loyal, loving, companion animals.
