Sav-a-Bull "pit bull" muliplier effect

At Sav-a-Bull we work to help "pit bulls" in one of three, equally important, but very different ways. The first is through rescue and adoption into loving and capable homes. The second is by restoring the image of "pit bulls" and the third is by aiding in the adoption of sheltered-bulls with positivity. (Please click on the bold, italized words to access these stories).

Our hope is that the combination, will create the Sav-a-Bull "pit bull" multiplier effect, e.g. the more positive and responsible interactions people have with adopted pit bulls, the more the breed's reputation will improve, and the closer we will be to accomplishing our ultimate goal. To create a world where dogs labeled "pit bulls" live in loving and capable homes and where their good name is restored and preserved.

Rescue and adoption into loving and capable homes. We rescue dogs labeled "pit bulls" from situations where they are subject to cruelty, neglect, isolation or a death sentence. We provide him or her with the specific care, attention or training they need to be successfully adopted. And when that time comes, we find a home that is right for them.

Restoring the image of "pit bulls."  We combat media coverage that misrepresents these dogs by distributing materials, like the 41 Pit Bulls Book, that illustrate their affectionate nature and promote facts that are accurately attributed to the breeds of dogs labeled "pit bulls."

Aiding in the adoption of shelter-bulls with positivity. We capture and tell the individual stories of dogs that reside in low-kill municipal shelters. We shine a positive light on these deserving dogs. Because we know by focusing on the unique aspects of one, we will provide the confidence and the knowledge needed to adopt a sheltered-bull.
