In this agreement, the Temporary Adopter represents that the information provided in the application process is true and correct and that Sav-a-Bull and the Temporary Adopter wish to enter into this agreement to provide the dog with a loving and capable home. 

Ownership Transfer
The Temporary Adopter agrees that he or she is legally competent to enter into this agreement, and this Agreement transfers the ownership and all responsibilities to the Temporary Adopter from the date that this agreement is signed.

The Temporary Adopter agrees that he or she is legally competent to enter into this agreement, and this Agreement transfers the ownership and responsibilities of the dog to the temporary Adopter during the agreed to temporary adoption timing from the date this agreement is signed.

Identification, Licenses
The Temporary Adopter also agrees to keep an identification tag attached to a properly fitted collar on the dog at all times. The temporary Adopter agrees to obtain the proper municipal license if required under local law. The Adopter also agrees to comply with local and state statutes and ordinances.

Veterinary Care
The Temporary Adopter agrees to obtain immediate veterinary care should the dog become sick or injured, and to take full financial responsibility for any veterinary expenses during the event, which will be reimbursed by Sav-a-Bull Pit Bull Rescue upon receipt of the veterinary paperwork.

Care of the Dog
The Temporary Adopter understands that the dog is an indoor pet, and agrees to allow its to live inside or his/her home. The Temporary Adopter agrees to provide the dog with fresh water, wholesome food, proper exercise and loving attention. The Temporary Adopter agrees to allow a follow-up home visit to a Sav-a-Bull representative if requested to ensure the proper care of the dog is being maintained. Under no circumstances will the Temporary Adopter agree to or allow the euthanasia of the dog. The Temporary Adopter agrees to take this animal to the agreed to, currently scheduled training courses, or day care, if not they must alert Sav-a-Bull for agreement on alternate provisions.

Spay and Neuter
The Temporary Adopter understands that the adopted dog is spayed/neutered at the time of adoption.

No Representations
The Temporary Adopter understands that Sav-a-Bull does not guarantee the health, temperament, or training of the above described dog.

Seizure and Impoundment of the Dog
If the dog shall, for any reason, be picked up by local law enforcement or animal control, the Temporary Adopter will immediately contact Sav-a-Bull by phone and e-mail and inform representatives directly that the animal has been picked up and impounded and the animal’s location.

Release
The Temporary Adopter, and for his/her spouse/partner, heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns, agrees never to bring a claim or suit against Sav-a-Bull. The Temporary Adopter releases Sav-a-Bull and its representatives, founders, agents or volunteers and assigns from all liability arising from the adoption or behavior or actions of the dog. The Temporary Adopter understands that this agreement discharges Sav-a-Bull and its representatives, founders, agents or volunteers and assigns from any liability to the Temporary Adopter and his/her spouse, heirs, children, boarders, persons employed by the adopters, executors, and assigns, with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other loss that may result from the adoption or behavior or activities of the dog. The Temporary Adopter releases Sav-a-Bull and discharges Sav-a-Bull and representatives, founders, agents or volunteers and assigns from any liability for Sav-a-Bull own negligence or liability that may result in bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other loss to the Adopter.

Indemnity Agreement
The Temporary Adopter, and for his/her spouse/partner, heirs, executors, personal representatives, and assigns, agrees to indemnify and hold Sav-a-Bull harmless for all bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other losses, including attorney’s fees and costs of litigation, that result to anyone else or any other entity because of the Temporary Adopter’s negligence or liability. This includes lone acts or omissions by the Temporary Adopter as well as the combined acts of the Temporary Adopter with others.

Procedure to Reclaim
On rare occasion, Sav-a-Bull may have to reclaim the dog. Here is the procedure that will be followed: 
a. Sav-a-Bull will notify the Temporary Adopter of the reclamation and ask that the dog be returned. The communication shall state clearly the circumstances under which Sav-a-Bull is acting and state a date and time when the Temporary Adopter may meet with the representative of Sav-a-Bull to discuss the situation and return the dog. b. If the dog is in a situation that may endanger its life, Sav-a-Bull may call animal control, or another applicable rescue in the Temporary Adopter’s locality to recover the dog immediately.

Other
The Temporary Adopter expressly agrees that the releases and indemnity agreement are intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law. The Temporary Adopter agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this agreement shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this agreement. This is the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any other verbal or written statements, representations, or promises.

Return Policy
The Temporary Adopter agrees that if he or she becomes unable to care for the dog for the time agreed to within the temporary adoption agreement, he or she will contact Sav-a-Bull, the Temporary Adopter understands that he or she is responsible for the care of the animal until he or she has delivered it into the proper Sav-a-Bull hands, and will do everything within his or her power to safely return the animal.

The Temporary Adopter agrees that he/she is legally competent to enter into this agreement, and this Agreement is binding upon the heirs, assigns, successors, personal representatives and executors of both parties.
